Transcript of text: - Smith says "built by Randal Oge Hurley at a noted pass. Lewis calls it a lofty pile 96 ft. high. There is a good spiral stone stairs. There are some curious carving mostly religious around the window of an upper room. High above the doorway to the right, is a grotesque carved figure. The O'Hurleys were powerful from about 1530.
